The 100 Year Badge (shown above) will be available to all members in the Moonee Valley District during 2009
The Centenary of Australian Scouting is a significant milestone.
Scouts Australia commissioned a typically Australian logo to
commemorate the occasion imbued with meaning and its own story.
The two Aboriginal symbols at the centre of the logo
represent "young person" and "human kind" respectively.
The lines in the background represent a journey or a passage of time
marked by milestones (the circles).
The design, while celebrating 100 years of Scouting in Australia, recognizes the journey of
Scouting over 100 years to 2008 to become the modern youth organization it is today.
The logo embodies the principle that
Scouting is inclusive and for all people (humankind).

City Camps
The hall is on the tram line into the city (20 min tram trip) or a 5 minute walk to the Essendon station where a train trip is 10 minutes into town. The hall is also close to The Royal Melbourne Show Grounds, Windy Hill Oval and the Maribyrnong River.

Need a loaction for a city camp?
We are in the process of developing our District Hall, previously the 1/10th Essendon Scout Hall, into a venue suitable to accomodate groups for overnight stays.
